Hess Corporation is a leading global independent energy company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. As a Land Team intern, you will work on relevant projects while enhancing your skillset with support from a Land Manager and other team members.
Responsibilities
- Engage with interest owners to resolve issues and questions and to pursue transaction opportunities
- Conduct and direct due diligence activities in support of trades, acquisitions, divestitures and related transactions
- Read title opinions and direct title curative or other activities as needed to protect company assets
- Manage Unit and Well inventory for asset teams and assist in preparing drilling locations for handoff to construction and drilling
- Engage and assist on-the-ground teams with surface access issues as they arise, which will include travel to the assets
- Review leases and contracts to ensure contemplated activities are permissible and advise/negotiate where issues with existing agreements can be improved for the company
