Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is a manufacturer of industrial machinery and equipment, and they are seeking an Accounting Associate Intern. The role involves providing analytic support by maintaining, analyzing, and reporting key performance measures, while assisting in various accounting tasks and developing frameworks for performance evaluation.
Responsibilities
Assist in Billings and cash reporting.
Assist in preparation of cost & revenue analysis.
Assist in preparation and review of account reconciliations.
Assist in Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow analysis.
Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
Support management review of financial statements.
Various ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
Communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.
Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
Perform other such duties as may be required.
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
During School need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during business hours and can work up to 28 hours a week Max if a fit for the Student and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed.
Length of Internship: 8 – 10 months minimum and could extend longer if a fit for the Intern and need to be able to commit to this time frame if selected.
Must be able to start May 12, 2025, and be able to work at the office.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of ERP systems, and accounting, database, manufacturing, project management, spreadsheet, word processing and email software.
