Hess Corporation is a leading independent energy company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. The Finance Intern position provides students with real-world experience in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and exposure to various accounting and finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the walkthrough meetings led by external auditors and SOX Sr Specialist to gain an understanding of various accounting and finance processes and controls
- Perform control testing by evaluating the supporting documentation against the SOX test plans
- Interact with accounting and finance process and control owners
- Deliver a presentation to senior leadership in accounting and finance at the conclusion of their internship.
Qualification
Required
- In pursuit of Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a minimum of 6 hours of Accounting coursework
- Minimum GPA of 3.25
