The Accounting Intern will assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial documentation, contributing to the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities

Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring the inclusion of proper documentation
Perform account reconciliations, investigating transactions when needed
Collect and analyze data and other information accurately and effectively
Assist in producing and distributing of financial memos, documenting key considerations and conclusions based on relevant accounting standards
Provide assistance in financial statement review
Assist in tying out SEC Form 10-Q financial records for various periods
Perform additional duties and provide additional support as directed by manager

Qualification

Required

Be a rising junior/senior enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program OR a student enrolled in a masters degree program in accounting or related discipline
Have an interest in accounting, strong organizational skills, and will be detail oriented
Be a fast learner and are interested in learning how to maintain documentation and perform a variety of financial recording processes
Possess the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with various details and competing deadlines
Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Be proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
