Responsibilities
Work directly with experienced actuaries in different areas of actuarial practice which may include pricing and product development, reserve calculations, actuarial modeling, financial analysis, asset liability management, and investments.
Contribute to a wide variety of exciting and interesting projects.
Present to managers in the organization at the end of their internship.
Application of mathematical and computer techniques to solve insurance and business problems.
Attendance at presentations led by experts on key actuarial topics.
Participate in social activities and networking events.
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with an accredited college or university
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong computer/technical skills
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred
Preferred major includes actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or other analytical/business-related major
Successful completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams is preferred
Knowledge of programming languages preferred
