As a Cost Estimating Intern, you will support senior estimators and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare detailed cost estimates and conduct market research, gaining valuable experience in the engineering field.
Responsibilities
Support senior estimators for quantity takeoffs
Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to identify cost factors.
Conduct market research to gather pricing data for materials, vendors, and subcontractors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, project management).
Participate in meetings to understand project scope and requirements.
Assist in creating reports and presentations to communicate cost analysis findings.
Perform administrative tasks such as documentation and filing.
Qualification
Required
in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited program
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Preferred
3.0 GPA
Must be at least a rising Junior
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
A previous internship related to your field of study
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
