Republic Airways is dedicated to providing a safe and reliable flying experience, and they are seeking a Finance Intern for Fall 2025. The role involves analyzing financial results, collaborating with various teams, and supporting the FP&A process.
Responsibilities
Analyzes and forecasts monthly results amongst spend categories
Supplements the FP&A team in the forecast & budgeting process
Collaborates with the different teams amongst the Finance and Accounting department
Attends weekly FP&A meetings as well as other monthly departmental meetings
Presents project results to their team members periodically
Evaluates business processes to support cost saving initiatives
Reviews financial decks for accuracy and consistency
Ad hoc analysis of contracts, expense drivers, and other analyses to support the operational business units
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
Proficient communication and presentation skills
Flexible and willing to help other team members as projects arise
Ability to work onsite at our Indianapolis Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager
Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation
Able to maintain confidentiality
Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction
Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results
Able to move about the work environment
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear
Typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions
