Ingersoll Rand is an industrial manufacturing company that provides mission-critical flow creation and industrial solutions. They are seeking a Finance Intern for their Accounts Payable team to provide hands-on exposure to business processes and support various financial tasks while collaborating with team members.
Responsibilities
Support process map preparation for Collection, Credit Management and Cash Application processes. Compare the processes to various part of the organization including EMEIA region processes.
Support analyzing individual collector workload and account distribution between collectors. Prepare proposals to improve the account distribution within the team and ultimately productivity of the department.
Review SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for some tasks to ensure that the SOP is accurate, easy to understand and follow, and includes the necessary screen prints and references to other SOPs; suggest changes or updates to SOPs based on review.
Support collectors for various payment/collection processes, when need arise.
Work with other AR colleagues within NAM or globally as well as other departments/teams to work on projects or research as needed; communicate effectively with all levels of colleagues to determine solutions and ideas for improvements.
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0
Minimum Work Experience: At least one internship or work experience
Demonstrated leadership skills such as: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects
Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team’s goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences
Communicate effectively with people and teams around the world (all business communication is officially in English, fluency in other languages is not necessary, but may be advantageous)
Utilize financial data to diagnose business strengths and weaknesses as well as the implications for potential strategies
Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
