InterDigital is a global research and development company focused on wireless and video technologies. The Finance Intern will support accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and investor relations, working on various business initiatives, including peer benchmarking and financial operations.
Responsibilities
Gather and organize financial data from various sources, including competitor filings and industry reports
Conduct peer benchmarking and peer analysis to assess InterDigital’s market positioning
Analyze financial trends and identify key insights using spreadsheets and financial software
Prepare data visualizations to present findings to the team
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support investor relations efforts by analyzing market trends, earnings reports, and investor sentiment
Ensure accuracy of financial data by performing data quality checks
Create and maintain financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Provide support for the analysis of budget variances and deliver insights to relevant stakeholders
Support the forecasting process by gathering and analyzing relevant data
Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable and receivable
Assist with reconciliations and account analysis
Support the month-end closing process
Participate in special projects related to financial analysis, financial modeling, and investor relations initiatives
Conduct research on industry trends, financial regulations, and competitor performance
Contribute to the development of financial presentations for senior management and investor relations engagements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree candidate in a Quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics)
Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Strong financial modeling, peer benchmarking, and analysis skills a plus
