Ryder System, Inc. is a leading logistics and transportation company, and they are seeking an Internal Audit Intern to join their Audit Services department. The intern will assist with various audit projects, learning the fundamentals of auditing and business operations while contributing to compliance and process audits.
Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of auditing and business operations through formal and on-the-job training and participation in SOX or other compliance, process, vendor, and IT general controls audit assignments
- Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing/analyzing evidence, and documenting auditee processes and procedures
- Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and compose summary memos
- Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
- Communicate or assist in communicating the results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management
Qualification
Required
- Successful candidates must be at least an incoming Junior pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems, with coursework in accounting, data analytics, economics, computer programming or other financial centric curriculum
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
