WEX is a financial technology service provider for fleet, travel and healthcare industries. They are seeking a Summer Intern - Treasury Analyst to assist in evaluating the daily cash and debt position of WEX Bank and support various treasury functions. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in treasury operations while working closely with team members.
Responsibilities
Help with the daily reconciliation of Domestic Cash in Reval.
Work closely with Domestic Treasury Analyst to ensure the daily funding requirements to cover both domestic and international MasterCard settlements, and gather other business outflow activity (i.e. Certificate of Deposit repayments, MasterCard fees, customer rebates, operating invoices to WEX Corporation, etc.).
Monitor the daily upload of WEX Capital wires to ensure that potential duplicates or OFACs are cleared.
Pull reporting in Reval to ensure that journal entries have been booked properly.
Cross-training for all treasury functions for backup and coverage purposes.
Qualification
Required
Junior or Senior year, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
Basic understanding of computer systems and software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
Understanding of banking operations.
Problem solving skills specifically and ability to work independently.
Detailed in your work
Preferred
Experience with treasury software helpful, but not required.
Ideally had course work in forecasting, accounting, reconciliation, journal entries.
