Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange and cryptocurrency wallet platform that allows users to buy, sell, and store various cryptocurrencies. They are seeking a highly motivated Tax Controllership Intern to assist with key areas of the company’s tax controllership and compliance processes, focusing on tax provisioning and financial reporting during a 12-week internship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with key areas of the company’s tax controllership and compliance processes, focusing most prominently on tax provisioning and financial reporting.
- Assist with critical balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures for all tasks.
- Provide assistance and support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility.
- Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned.

Required

- Strong work ethic and team player.
Preferred
- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in accounting or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge a plus.
- Basic knowledge of digital assets and the crypto economy, or a desire to learn.
