Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is one of the country’s leading mutual insurers. They are offering a 10-week paid internship in Data Science where interns will gain industry knowledge, collaborate with stakeholders, and work on projects that impact the business.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with stakeholders, formulate approaches to tackle problems and use algorithms and data sources in the context of business and analytics needs

Qualification
Required
- A prospective student in a Master's or PhD program related to Data Science (graduation date of December 2025- June 2026)
- A background in statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics
- Experience in one or more ML algorithms (GBM, Random Forest, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, kNN)
- Ability to write and develop models in Python and PySpark
- Good verbal and written communication skills with attention to details
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
