They are seeking a Data Science Trainee to assist with data preparation and building predictive models, providing hands-on experience in analyzing data and solving business problems using machine learning techniques.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Assist in preparing, cleaning, and structuring data
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and identify key variables
- Support the development and validation of models that drive business outcomes using various statistical and machine learning techniques
- Document workflows and assist in building data pipelines that ensure efficient model development and deployment
- Communicate findings clearly and effectively to both technical teams and business stakeholders, helping them make data-driven decisions
Qualification
Required
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of data modeling and problem-solving for business contexts
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and algorithms
- Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn)
- Excellent communication skill to articulate insights and complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A willingness to learn and apply new techniques to different business challenges
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
Preferred
- Experience with building and optimizing machine learning models
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) for model deployment and data management
- Familiarity with data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively
