St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is offering a Biostatistics Internship for motivated individuals looking to gain practical experience in the field. The internship focuses on data processing, analysis, statistical techniques, and provides exposure to various components of the working environment.
Responsibilities
- Processing, analysis, and presentation of data
- Design of data collection instruments and data management systems
- Statistical techniques
- Reporting and interpretation of results and explanations
- Software, statistical methodologies, and statistical writing through real-world applications
- Additionally, you will take part in a variety of activities such as hospital tours, networking opportunities, building relationships with a variety of professionals across the institution, and have access to a dedicated mentor, to continue developing new skills.
Qualification
Required
- Interested candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college undergraduate or graduate program
- A 3.0 GPA or above. GPA will be validated by transcripts and communication with the advisor.
- If undergraduate, the candidates must be entering junior or senior year to be considered
Preferred
- Candidates are accepted from all majors; an interest in math, statistics, data science, or computer science is preferred.
