They are seeking a Business Intelligence Data Analyst Intern to support data-driven decision-making and develop insights that enhance operational efficiency within the Professional Education and Program Services department.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Data Science to help the PEPS department in implementing data solutions that improve the business's ability to anticipate trends and make proactive recommendations.
Research large and complex datasets to uncover patterns and insights that inform strategic and operational recommendations within the PEPS department to ultimately establish the state-of-the-business.
Aid in the development of predictive and prescriptive models to help forecasting, and optimization of business processes, outlining opportunities for growth and efficiency across each business unit.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop data products and tools that help the adoption of new technologies and business intelligence solutions.
Work closely with data engineers, finance, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of data science models into business intelligence platforms.
Present clear, actionable insights to collaborators, offering recommendations for performance improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualification
Required
Exceptional data and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data.
Proficiency in building dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards.
Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Experience with data querying languages (SQL) and working with large datasets.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar for data manipulation and research.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.
Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June.
