IDEXX is a global leader in pet healthcare innovation, and they are seeking a Cloud Management Practitioner FinOps Intern. In this role, you will collaborate with the FinOps team to optimize cloud investments and create a data ecosystem for analytical purposes.

Responsibilities

Participate as a key member of the FinOps team.
Receive exposure to IDEXX's cloud spend and the applications it supports.
Further progress on creation of a cloud data ecosystem to be leveraged for various analytical purposes.
Create, curate, summarize, present data sets and research findings to the FinOps team.
Support creation of standardized processes to promote consistency and scalability.
Collect relevant data sources and ingest within the cloud data ecosystem.
Analysis on large sets of cloud spend data.
Create interactive visual analytics via dashboards.
Document processes on data ingestion, visual analytics creation.
Partner with other FinOps members across DevOps and Finance.
Research issues/questions as needed.

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in Finance, Data/Analytics, or other related technology majors.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must have completed at least one year of college.
Familiarity with cloud computing basics.
Proficient with MS Excel and with dashboard preparation (using Power BI or Tableau)
Familiarity with SQL or other similar querying language.
Initiative and self-motivation to work with latitude for independent judgement.
Can work with complex instructions and apply themselves to technical work.
Ability to problem solve and draw conclusions, in some cases with limited information.
Ability to work independently and in teams.

Preferred

A track record of student success and potential as demonstrated by GPA, research portfolio, prior work experiences and/or the recommendation of a professor preferred.
