The internship program offers university juniors, seniors, and graduate students the opportunity to gain real-world experience while developing skills in data analytics and business strategy through various projects and presentations.
Responsibilities
Assist in advanced analytics of supplier performance metrics and actual results
Performing data mining and analysis across multiple datasets with the goal of creating an at-a-glance Supplier Performance Dashboard to be used at all levels of the enterprise, including the C-Suite and extended Executive Team
Actively seek to build and apply business knowledge to complement technical expertise in design and performance of analytical procedures
Assist the Director, Technology Business Strategy and Supplier Performance teams in scoping, building, and integrating a scorecard and dashboard for viewing and tracking supplier performance
Communicate any insights or findings identified within data in a narrative format
The successful candidate will be presenting the dashboard and project summary to our Chief Information Officer and VP of Global Technology Services, among other executives
The project summary is meant to serve as a permanent part of the intern’s portfolio as recognition for the effort involved in owning an end-to-end project with real-world business impact
Qualification
Required
Coding skills in R and/or Python, including data identification, gathering, plotting, and dashboarding
Ability to present data analysis results to executives, engineers, and laypersons
Currently pursuing a BA/BS, MA/MS, or PhD in Data Science or other related fields such as Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, and Finance
Preferred
Experience with PowerShell and PowerBI preferred
A minimum GPA of 3.6 preferred
