Signet Jewelers is the world's largest retailer of diamond jewelry, operating more than 2,800 stores worldwide. The Data Analytics Intern will be responsible for executing and maintaining data analytic workflows to support internal audits and will work closely with the internal audit and retail audit teams.
Responsibilities
Participate in data analytics related to audits (operational, financial, compliance, integrated), special projects and ad-hoc requests of Signet Management. Assist in the execution of analytics to obtain insights and identify data patterns which are not incompliance with Signet policies and procedures.
Act as an analytic resource for the internal audit team.
Performs additional duties and projects as assigned. Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.
Qualification
Required
Pursing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology or related discipline.
GPA of 3.0 or above
Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to quickly grasp concepts, analyze data and draw conclusions based on sound judgement
Ability to apply creative and innovating thinking
Ability to work independently
Preferred
Prior Data Analytics or business experience preferred but not required.
Prior coursework in IT, auditing, analytics or business technology preferred
