They are seeking a Data Science Intern to assist the data science team in identifying business challenges and extracting insights from complex datasets while gaining hands-on experience in the banking industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ongoing data science projects, including data preparation, analysis, and solution deployment.
- Collaborate with data scientists to identify business challenges and extract insights from complex datasets.
- Participate in team meetings, present initial findings, and document processes and learnings.
- Contribute to applying machine learning/statistical techniques under team guidance.
Qualification
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Python or R and basic data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
- Strong interest in machine learning, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exposure to SQL/noSQL databases, AWS tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, DOMO).
- Basic understanding of production code practices (unit testing, version control) and Agile methodologies.
- Willingness to work onsite at our headquarters in Wilmington, North Carolina or Lehi, Utah while demonstrating adaptability to a fast-paced, in-person work environment.
- Full time availability in Wilmington from May 27th, 2025 – August 15, 2025 OR Full time availability in Lehi from May 5, 2025 - August 1, 2025
