Parkview Health is northeast Indiana’s largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, and they are seeking an Informatics Research Summer Non-Clinical Intern. The role involves assisting with various research tasks, managing data collection, and engaging in the dissemination of findings while collaborating with research team members.
Responsibilities
- Implements study procedures, such as daily research study tasks (e.g., participant tracking, management, and cleaning of incoming data, etc.), and ensures data quality and confidentiality.
- Collects data through approved study procedures, library research, structured interviews, or another project specific methodology.
- When appropriate, interprets, synthesizes, and analyzes data.
- Meets with study team on regular basis to maintain ongoing communication about project tasks.
- Maintains high quality work.
- When appropriate, contributes to external dissemination (reports, articles, blogs, etc.).
- Provides regular reports on the status of research activities.
Qualification
Required
- Must be a current undergraduate college student.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Submission of Cover Letter, Resume, and Letter of Recommendation.
Preferred
- Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship.
- Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship.
