Biogen is a mid-sized biotechnology company committed to delivering life-changing medicines. They are seeking a summer intern in the Biostatistics Department to provide statistical support and develop clinical development plans through various projects involving statistical analysis and simulation coding.
Responsibilities
Read and synthesize key methodology papers
Efficiently develop simulation code in R or other statistical package
Explore results in a systematic way
Document and package new code in a user-friendly way
Prepare a final technical write-up and presentation
Qualification
Required
Experience of performing statistical analysis with R, SAS and other statistical packages
Knowledge or interest working in biotechnology industry
Ability to translate data into business insights
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
Be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university
Currently enrolled in a PhD program
Completed two years of graduate work and passed doctorate qualification exam prior to the start of the internship, with a graduation date no earlier than August 2025
Majored in statistics, biostatistics, or other related fields
