Responsibilities include evaluating innovative ideas for clinical trial design, developing statistical methodologies, and sharing findings with colleagues.
Responsibilities
Evaluates an innovative idea to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical trial design or analysis
Develops and applies novel statistical methodology to implement the innovative idea
Performs simulations or analyses to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of the method and idea
Works collaboratively with other colleagues, as applicable, during design, evaluation, and/or implementation of the idea
Share findings both internally within department to benefit other statisticians, or potentially write a manuscript to publish the results externally
Showcase your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad or a Graduate or Doctoral Student
Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August
Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship
Preferred
Preferred Degree qualification: Currently enrolled in an accredit PhD program
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace
Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
Possess a strong understanding of statistical theory and methodologies
Proficient in using R to conduct simulations and developing packages
Familiarity with clinical trials and drug development
