Gilead Sciences is a biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes therapies for critical diseases. As an intern, you will contribute to high-impact projects in clinical data sciences, particularly in biostatistics and oncology, gaining real-world experience while collaborating with various teams to meet project deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist with systematic literature reviews of oncology clinical trial designs and statistical analysis methods
- Works collaboratively with Statistical Programmers, Biostatisticians, Clinical Research, Clinical Data Managers, and other team members to meet project deliverables and timelines for statistical data analysis and reporting
- Evaluate the innovative statistical methodology and implementation on oncology clinical trials
- Perform the clinical study data review, checking and analysis using SAS, R, and/or other statistical software
- Showcase your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship
Qualification
Required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
- Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
- Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad or a Graduate or Doctoral Student
- Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship
Preferred
- Preferred Degree qualification: PhD
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
