O’Reilly Automotive, Inc. is a specialty retailer of automotive aftermarket parts, tools, supplies, equipment and accessories. They are seeking a Data Analytics Intern who will work with large datasets and provide insights to drive business decisions, while collaborating with various teams across the company.
Responsibilities
Work with large datasets to validate, extract, clean, and analyze site search data
Use Google Analytics to track key performance metrics and provide insights on business trends
Investigate and interpret data from a business perspective, aligning findings with stakeholder goals
Collaborate with teams across the company to understand their data needs and deliver relevant insights
Create clear and well-documented reports and dashboards to present data findings
Develop strong analytical frameworks to support decision-making processes
Stay organized, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and ensure accuracy in data reporting
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, optimizing performance, and working with both relational and NoSQL databases
Experience navigating Google Analytics GA4, interpreting user behavior metrics, and leveraging event-based data for analysis
Strong Analytical & Problem Solving Skills: Ability to deconstruct complex problems, apply data-driven methodologies, and derive actionable insights
Actively enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Entering their junior or senior year of college (minimum 60 completed credit hours), or be a graduate student
Ability to work full-time (40 hours) for 9 weeks during summer
Excellent communicators, both verbal and written
Passionate about contributing to and being a part of a positive culture based on win-win attitudes
Contribute to their local community through community outreach, service projects, etc.
Preferred
Familiarity with BigQuery
Experience with analytics dashboards/data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI)
Basic Python skills (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
