Brakebush Brothers, Inc. is a family-owned and operated company specializing in chicken products since 1925. They are seeking a Transportation Data Analytics Intern to assist in collecting and analyzing transportation data to support efficient operations and develop data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
Gather transportation data from various sources; perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy
Generate Power Bl reports that can be shared with the team, providing good insights on performance metrics
Data extraction from various sources, creating visualizations, and generating reports to inform decision-making on route optimization, traffic management, and infrastructure improvements
Utilize statistical analysis techniques and data visualization tools (Power BI) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in transportation data
Create dashboards and collaborating with the transportation team to interpret findings
Qualification
Required
Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree
Junior or Senior (min. completed 60 credits)
Currently holding a GPA of 2.75 or higher
Strong communicator, public speaking experience, and relationship builder
Able to work autonomously and with a team
Strength with strategic, analytical thinking and attention to detail
Positive attitude and adaptability
Use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams); Emphasis on your incredible Excel skills
Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, with emphasis on data analysis, data visualization or data modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets
Use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams)
Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Data Aggregation, etc.)
Preferred
Applicants who have completed or are currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Operations Management and Analytics
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in programming languages like Python/R preferred
MS Power BI or Business Intelligence tools
