The Mount Sinai Health System is an integrated health care system providing exceptional medical care to their local and global communities. They are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher in the area of Computational Genomics in Lung Cancer Biology and Immunology to lead research projects, analyze genomic data, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead, conduct and analyze results pertaining to this research project
- Maintain and analyze genomics/transcriptomics/proteomics data
- Develop and implement algorithms, computational pipelines, statistical methods and software to analyze large-scale human sequencing data and perform integrative analysis
- Interpret data, publish and present novel findings at journals and conferences
- Collaborate and work together with other team members
Qualification
Required
- PhD degree in Computation Biology, Bioinformatics, Human Genetics, Computer Science with strong quantitative background
- Experience analyzing large biological datasets
- Computational experience is key requirement for this position
Preferred
- Expertise in high performance or cloud (e.g., AWS or GCP) computing environments
- Proficiency in Python and R
- Desire and ability to learn quickly, work as part of a productive team, be active team member, think creatively, and apply and design new analytic approaches
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
