The PostDoctoral Research Scholar will conduct epidemiologic analyses of the GenX Exposure Study data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and engage with community members to report findings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiologic analyses of the GenX Exposure Study data.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication.
- Assist in preparing lay summaries for community members.
- Conduct statistical analysis.
- Present findings at both community and scientific meetings.
- Participate in data collection and community report back as appropriate.
- Work with undergraduate and graduate students.
- Develop new research ideas using stored biological specimens or additional data collection.
Qualification
Required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Valid NC Driver's License required.
Preferred
- Doctorate in Environmental Epidemiology, Statistics, or similar training
- Statistical analysis including linear and logistic regression as well as multilevel modeling for analysis of mixtures. Experience with SAS or R.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Training with regard to data security protections.
- Experience with Community-Engaged Research or environmental justice related projects.
- Experience with human subjects research (CITI training or similar).
- Data visualization experience
- Training in environmental exposure assessment
- Experience working with minority and underserved communities in a research of public health setting.
