Children's National Medical Center is looking for a Research Intern to support clinical trials and assist investigators in organizing, gathering, and compiling clinical research data. The Intern will be responsible for data collection, aggregation, and analysis under supervision.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of research, database, and clerical duties to support clinical trials.
Collect, aggregate, and analyze data for clinical research activities.
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, recordkeeping, and creating flyers/posters.
Maintain confidentiality of data as required and adhere to research standards.
Complete IRB submissions accurately and on time.
Contribute to team meetings, set project timelines, and achieve deliverables.
Attend to human research protection guidelines and relevant best practices.
Obtain training and certification as required by study protocol.
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
2 years experience working in a medical or scientific research setting (Preferred)
Demonstrated adherence to the standards for the responsible conduct of research
Knowledge of basic mathematics, data collection and analysis, and research principles
Knowledge of human subjects research
Excellent computer skills in a Windows and/or Mac environment
Excellent organizational, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
CITI Certification (Required)
