Auburn University is seeking an Undergraduate Research Assistant to work in the Complex Human-Environment Systems (CHES) Lab under the supervision of Dr. Li An. The role involves training deep learning models to detect and identify animal species in Chitwan National Park, Nepal.
Responsibilities
Manually select and label images containing animals.
Accurately identify and classify the species of animals in the images.
Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality data processing.
Qualification
Required
Majoring in Geospatial & Environmental Informatics, Wildlife Ecology & Management, or a related field.
Highly meticulous and patient, with strong attention to detail.
Skilled in distinguishing objects within camera and drone imagery.
Able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
Demonstrates excellent teamwork and a positive work ethic.
