Texas A&M University is a coeducational public research university located in College Station, Texas. The Research Assistant will work at the AI institute under the supervision of the center director and will be responsible for assisting in running and managing ongoing activities organized by the center and research projects.
Responsibilities
Research and collect data through complex techniques and procedures.
Assist with data management and perform basic statistical analyses.
Develop assessment and evaluation tools.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduates.
Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students.
Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions.
Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
Work schedules are created by the department based on departmental needs but ensure it does not conflict with class schedule.
Promptly complete all required training.
Submit time sheet biweekly.
Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Subject to funding and/or need.
Preferred
Prior experience in AI and Machine learning applications in engineering.
Data management and data analysis experience.
Strong computer science and mathematics background.
