They are seeking a Communications and Project Assistant Intern to promote and enhance messaging about the CLIMBS project, which focuses on building climate resilience in Eastern Kentucky and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Help with event planning and hands-on assistance of events alongside the EOC team and new Project Coordinator
- Onsite Photography and journalism (potentially traveling to a research sites in Kentucky)
- Organizing the KY NSF EPSCoR E-Newsletter
- Help organize and create Canvas Virtual Learning modules for CLIMBS students
- Conduct virtual or in-person interviews and write articles with student researchers
- Updating the CLIMBS participant list
- Other organizational tasks as assigned in reference to reporting or awards
Qualification
Required
- Organizational skills
- Strong communication and people skills
- Writing
- Photography
Preferred
- Basic understanding of earth and atmospheric sciences
