As a Social Media Intern, you will support the social media team by creating engaging content, managing community interactions, and analyzing social media performance to enhance brand awareness.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, etc.
- Research and curate relevant content from various sources to share with the audience.
- Collaborate with the team to develop content calendars and schedules.
- Monitor social media channels and respond to user comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Engage with followers, build relationships, and foster a positive online community.
- Identify and address any issues or concerns raised by users, escalating them to the appropriate team members when necessary.
- Track and analyze social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, or other analytics platforms.
- Provide regular reports and insights on key metrics, trends, and audience behavior to identify areas of improvement.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize social media strategies and campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in social media marketing.
- Conduct research on competitors, industry trends, and audience preferences to inform content strategies.
- Support the social media team in planning and executing social media campaigns and initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling posts, monitoring campaign performance, and capturing relevant metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design or marketing, to ensure consistent messaging and branding across platforms.
- Assist in managing social media contests, giveaways, or promotions.
- Conduct periodic audits of social media accounts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and offer creative ideas for social media content, campaigns, and strategies.
Qualification
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, digital media, entertainment business, or a related field (or recently graduated).
- Knowledge and passion for social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing concepts.
- Able to work in-person at our studio located in Carrollton, Texas
Preferred
- Videography experience is a plus
- Familiarity with content creation tools, graphic design software, or video editing software is a plus.
- Prior experience managing personal or professional social media accounts is advantageous.
