Array Technologies is a manufacturing company that provides solar tracker solutions for companies and businesses. They are seeking a talented and motivated PR Intern to join their External Communications team, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in various PR functions and contribute to the company's global media strategy.
Responsibilities
Develop key communication materials, including drafting and editing press releases, media pitches, messaging documents, Q&As, strategy documents, social media content, blogs, presentations and other materials intended for external audiences.
Monitor media coverage, generate story ideas, and help develop pitches to key media outlets to promote the company’s news and initiatives.
Assist in preparing executives and SMEs for on-the-record (OTR) media interviews, events or podcast appearances, including conducting research and drafting talking points, arranging time for spokesperson prep, and facilitating media interviews and event and podcast appearances.
Contribute to PR strategy around product launches, helping to craft messaging and execute media outreach plans.
Track media coverage and analyze the effectiveness of PR efforts, providing insights and recommendations to enhance visibility.
Assist with general department duties such as maintaining contact lists, organizing files, scheduling meetings, and managing internal communication tools like Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
Participate in meetings with a global team to provide insights and recommendations on our PR strategy and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations (PR), Integrated Strategic Communication (ISC), Journalism, Business Administration or a related field.
Strong interest in a career in Public Relations, Media Relations, External Communication, Corporate Communication or Corporate Affairs.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
This position is located onsite in our Chandler, AZ office.
Relocation is not available for this role.
US Person is required for this role.
Work hours will be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
Preferred
Prior internship or work experience in a PR-related role is a plus but not required.
Juniors preferred as this opportunity has a strong chance of transiting into a full-time/perm role.
Interest in or passion for the renewable energy industry.
A strong understanding of digital media, social media platforms, AI and analytics can be a huge plus as these are integrated into global PR strategies.
Passion for grammar and adherence to AP style. We love a word nerd!
Interest or experience in corporate communications or media relations in a publicly traded company.
