Plymouth Rock Company is a leading insurance provider known for its exceptional service and innovative technology. They are seeking a self-motivated and creative intern to leverage analytical skills and assist with business analyses, competitive evaluations, and strategy development.
Responsibilities
Gain valuable business knowledge in a fast-paced insurance industry through hands-on training and onboarding
Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to perform business analyses to identify, test, and inform critical business decisions
Evaluate the company’s competitive position through research and analysis of competitive intelligence reports
Assist with developing business and underwriting strategies
Work independently as well as collaborate with and learn from team members on various projects
Participate in cross-functional project team representing Product
Have opportunities to present to senior management
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of intellectual curiosity
Preferred
Prior Insurance or Casualty Experience
Previous co-op/internship experience
Some knowledge of data analytics tools – Excel, preferably including SQL, R, or Python
