The MITRE Corporation is working to solve some of the nation’s biggest challenges in defense, cybersecurity, healthcare, homeland security, the judiciary and transportation. They are seeking a highly motivated and creative Computer Engineering Intern to provide expertise and support to their sponsor's mission, while applying and expanding technical skills in various domains.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and support to our sponsor and their mission.
- Apply and expand one’s domain knowledge, creative problem-solving capabilities, systems engineering skills, and technical expertise.
Qualification
Required
- Must be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an accredited degree seeking program in a Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering degree program
- Must continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering theory
- Sustained excellence in academic performance
Preferred
- Experience having applied Computer or Systems or similar learning to an internship or research/lab position
- Experience with prototype design
- Hands-on skills in at least one or more programming language
- Demonstrated interest in serving the public
- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
