Motorola Solutions creates mission-critical communication solutions and services for public safety and commercial customers. They are seeking a DSP Software Engineering intern to help expand their team and deliver the next generation of communication devices, focusing on real-time software for DSP algorithms and embedded systems.
Responsibilities
Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyze, design, implement cutting edge real-time software for DSP algorithms and Low Level device drivers to be used in wireless products.
Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment.
Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects.
Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests.
Qualification
Required
Candidate's graduation date must occur on or after December 2025.
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in one of the following degree programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
Preferred
Knowledge of fundamentals of Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Communication.
Experience in C/C++ is a plus.
Knowledge of Machine Learning is a plus.
Experience with Matlab, Python, Perl is a plus.
Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus.
Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus.
Experience using version control; Git is a plus.
Experience with Linux is a plus.
Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus.
