PACCAR is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture, and customer support of high-quality trucks. They are seeking a motivated intern to join their Information Technology Division, where the intern will have the opportunity to develop software solutions and gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
The intern will work closely with their mentor throughout the duration of the internship
Design and develop new features for customer facing software application
Gain intensive hands-on experience in Design, Implement, Test and Ship production ready software solution
Learn and apply Agile Software Development methods and techniques
Opportunity to work with senior developers on applications related to Manufacturing, Materials, Sales, Marketing, and more, while implementing engineering and architectural practices, principles, and patterns
The intern will have a development plan designed to introduce and teach them the key skills needed to be a successful in their internship
Qualification
Required
1+ years of college experience, preferably in Computer Science or related field
Programming knowledge/skills in the following technology, but not limited to: Object-Oriented Programming such as C/C++/C# .NET, and JavaScript
JSON, YAML, and XML
RESTful API
React
.NET MVC
MS SQL
HTML
Strong problem solving and communication skills with positive attitude
Embodies and promotes PACCAR ITD values of Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, Commitment, Openness and Learning
Able to commit to a 12-week program throughout summer
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related field
Preferred
Experience using Git/GitHub or Visual Studio
