Software Applications Engineer Intern

TEL is a global leader in semiconductor production equipment, and they are seeking a Software Applications Engineer Intern to support their full stack equipment and supply chain analytics applications development team. The intern will work on building applications for data analytics products, collaborating with various stakeholders and participating in Agile product management.

Responsibilities

  • Build applications for equipment analytic products and developer tooling
  • Recommend stack elements.
  • Develop “Hello World” implementations of platform, application, and pipeline structures for developer partners.
  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and management according to Agile product management principles.
  • Team scrum master on rotating basis.

Qualification

Required

  • Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science or related STEM degree.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship now and in future.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Python.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with DataFrames.
  • Data architecture, SQL experience.
  • Experience in multidimensional data modeling, such as star schemas, snowflakes, deformalized models, and handling 'slow-changing' dimensions/attributes.
  • Ability to work in Windows, Linux, and container environments.
  • Ability to clearly communicate data stories to stakeholders using verbal, written, and graphics-rich presentation formats.

Preferred

  • Experience in DBA, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Solutions Architecture, Business Intelligence platform (e.g. PowerBI, Spotfire) skills.
  • GenAI code and application development.
  • Experience developing using Agile and Lean principles.
  • Semiconductor industry experience.
  • Familiarity with robotics control systems and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with industrial productivity concepts.
