Nokia manufactures mobile devices, network infrastructure, and location-based technology for businesses. They are seeking a Software Developer Intern to collaborate with experienced developers and gain hands-on experience in software development while contributing to various projects.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with experienced developers to understand project scope and objectives.
Apply software engineering concepts to design, prototype, and optimize feature functionality in alignment with project specifications.
Participate in peer reviews, contribute to code development, and support debugging activities to resolve software issues identified during testing.
Gain exposure to industry-standard tools, processes, and practices used in software systems development.
Work under the guidance of an R&D Technical Manager, contributing to software development initiatives across the product lifecycle.
Qualification
Required
Education Requirement: a Master’s, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Computer Science or IT, or a related field with an accredited school in the USA.
Enthusiasm for applying academic knowledge in a real-world software development environment.
Hands-on experience in software development and prototype building; experience related to optical networking is a plus.
Proficiency with technologies such as Java, SQL, Python, and Spring, with experience building standalone applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred
Ability to take initiative and learn independently.
Exposure to routing algorithms (e.g., networks, mapping applications).
Practical experience with machine learning and its applications.
