Cisco develops, manufactures, and sells networking hardware, telecommunications equipment, and other technology services and products. They are seeking a Software Engineer II (Intern) who will play a crucial role in driving next-gen software innovations and gain hands-on experience in developing software solutions. The intern will work with various teams to ensure software applications are user-friendly and compatible with hardware.
Responsibilities
Develop software and tools in support of many of our high-impact technology platforms such as operating systems, networks, databases and more.
Ensure all of our programs are easy to use and bug free.
Watch for hardware compatibility while potentially influencing design.
Qualification
Required
Including but not limited to an upcoming graduate of a technical or certification program from a Technical Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College or 4-Year University.
Recently completed or actively enrolled in a Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related program or other academic certification
Up-to-date on programming and scripting languages: C/C++, Python, Java
Hands on QA, Testing, and/or Debugging skills
Preferred
Knowledge of Linux, Networking concepts, OS fundamentals, Embedded Development, and/or ML
Experience with Databases, Web Application Development, and Web Services
Knowledge in Computer Networking and/or Cybersecurity
Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
