Rakuten is a provider of e-commerce, fintech, digital content, and communications products and services. They are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented software developer intern to support the delivery of new consumer-facing product launches and feature enhancements within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
Develop multiple approaches to a solution, deploy them in an A/B test to our customers, learn and adapt from the results
Analyze, develop and recommend metrics to drive business decisions
Collaborate with project manager, developers, and business units to develop products & services
Qualification
Required
Software development ability in one or more of ReactJS, Typescript, PostgreSQL
Knowledge of API usage
Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures, system design, web architecture
UI building with MVC principles a plus
Effective communication and collaborations skills
Strong willingness to learn and proven resourcefulness
"Get things done" mentality balanced with following best practices
Currently enrolled in a College, Bachelor’s, or Master’s program
Relevant major or area of study in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
Preferred
Relevant prior internship experience
