As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on projects related to manipulating and displaying medical images, while gaining practical experience in software engineering principles and practices.
Responsibilities
Work on challenging projects to manipulate, display, find, transfer, and label medical images
Write Java code in a large, longstanding, always evolving code base
Create UI in Java using Swing
Write documentation
Test code and write unit tests
Work closely with experienced software engineers, including a personal mentor
Learn about software engineering principles in an industry environment
Learn about engineering best practices for development of regulated medical software
Work on real features with a real world impact on customers
Qualification
Required
Some experience writing code in coursework, projects, or previous internships
An active pursuit of a bachelor's degree, preferably for computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics
General problem-solving skills
Strong analytical thinking
Communication and organization skills
An aptitude for math and science
An existing understanding of medical imaging is not required
