The Circuit Simulation Intern will assist R&D staff in developing new algorithms and software for the Spectre circuit simulator, focusing on research, software development, and performance validation.
Responsibilities
Assist R&D staff in developing new algorithms and software for the Spectre circuit simulator.
Research new algorithmic approaches.
Software engineering to implement new features.
Perform software validation and testing.
Investigate performance/accuracy issues in the simulator.
Qualification
Required
Background in one or more of numerical techniques for VLSI circuit simulation or related general numerical simulation algorithms (numerical linear algebra, computational electromagnetics, parallel numerical algorithms) or semiconductor device modeling.
Applicant should be pursuing a degree (BS, MS or PhD) in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field and graduating in Winter 2023 or Spring/Summer 2024.
Preferred
Exposure to the circuit simulation area and experience in EDA-relevant software development, particular C/C++ unix development.
Understanding of analog/RF/custom IC design and verification practices.
