Highmark Health is an integrated health care delivery and financing network, and they are seeking an EDW Systems Analyst Intern for Summer 2025. The role involves working closely with Business Analysts and developers to perform analysis for development initiatives, assist with specifications and testing, and participate in the full software development lifecycle of projects.
Responsibilities
Work with Systems Analysts, Developers, QA Testers, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions.
Participate in the full software development life cycle by actively participating on Agile scrum teams in various roles, including, but not limited to, Business Technical Analyst and Tester, based on need.
Support various aspects of requirements testing (e.g. testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production defects are realized and completing analysis of the results tying back to customer impacts.
Ensure compliance for required standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate effectively while interacting directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the area. Receives guidance, training, and mentoring from senior personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
Undertake and/or participates in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
Participate in the planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
As specifically requested by management, conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
Preferred
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Technology, or related field.
Ability to be organized and work in a fast-paced environment
