Summer Intern - Software Engineer

HARMAN is a global leader in connected products and solutions for automakers and consumers. They are seeking a Software Engineering Process Intern to assist experienced engineers in software quality assurance processes and testing of In-Vehicle Infotainment systems.

Responsibilities

  • Update the design and test documents to provide traceability to the requirements, implementations, etc. as per the ASPICE mandate.
  • Update the ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tasks to reflect the ASPICE adherence.
  • Run unit test cases and integration test cases on full applications.
  • Assisting in the execution of the stability and KPI metrics.
  • Assisting in the identification of process related Continual Improvement Opportunities.
  • Compile, build and review the source code and provide the traceability as per the ASPICE.

Qualification

Required

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program.
  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Must have C or C++ programming knowledge.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload
